Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Prime Traffic School, LLC handles information when you visit our website, create a student account, or take our Florida online BDI course.
Information we collect
We collect account details you provide at sign-up (such as name and email), enrollment information needed to run and report the course (legal name and suffix, Florida driver license number, date of birth, sex, mailing address, phone number, reason for attending, citation number, and citation county), course progress, quiz and exam results, and payment records processed by our checkout provider. Technical logs needed to operate a timed, single-session course — for example session identifiers and timer heartbeats — are also stored. When you enroll, open the course, and answer identity checks, we record the time, your internet (IP) address, the approximate city and state our network provider associates with that address, and your device and browser type. We use these to confirm that the enrolled student is the one taking the course.
How we use it
We use this information to create and secure your student account, deliver the course, enforce timing and identity rules, process enrollment payments, report completion for course credit, issue a completion record to your account, and respond to support requests. We do not sell student personal information.
Who we share it with
When you take the course for citation or licensing credit, we share the completion and citation fields required for that credit with FLHSMV through its Driver Improvement Certificate Issuance System (DICIS) within 5 days, and we e-file the completion and citation number with the clerk of court in the county that issued the citation through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal within 3 days of the certificate number. Our payment processor handles checkout; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. Other service providers that host authentication, email, and the application itself may process information on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law or court order. Reporting details are summarized in the FAQ.
Retention
We keep enrollment and citation fields — including legal name and suffix, driver license number, date of birth, sex, mailing address, phone number, reason for attending, citation number, citation county, progress, exam results, and completion or certificate records — for as long as needed to operate the school, file course credit, and meet record-keeping obligations.
